Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how True Crime Factor handles information supplied through its email signup form and contact address. At launch, the site collects email signups for future publication updates. Newsletter confirmation and delivery features will be introduced separately if they are configured.

Joining the email list

The signup form asks for your email address and requires you to accept this statement: “I agree to receive email updates from True Crime Factor.” The invitation is to join the True Crime Factor list for case histories, investigative turning points, and clear explanations of evidence.

Publisher Tools 1.14.1 stores your email address in the website’s WordPress database. It also stores a duplicate-check value created from a standardized version of the address, the signup time, the page path where you signed up, the consent wording you accepted, and the collection status. Query strings and page fragments are excluded from the stored page path.

The form uses basic anti-spam checks and short-lived, hashed network identifiers to limit repeated submissions. These checks help protect the signup form from automated misuse.

How signup records are stored

Signup records remain in the WordPress database until an authorized administrator removes them or processes an erasure request. Authorized WordPress administrators can view and export these records or remove an individual entry. The records are also included in WordPress personal-data export and erasure tools.

When you send us a message

If you email contact@truecrimefactor.com, your message supplies your email address, the message itself, and any attachments you include. True Crime Factor uses that information to understand and handle your request. Please include only the information needed for the subject you want us to address.

Your choices and access to your information

You can email contact@truecrimefactor.com to ask whether the site holds your signup information, request a copy, or ask for its removal. Identify the email address used to sign up so the relevant record can be located.

Articles may link to other websites. Those sites operate under their own practices, and you can review their privacy information when you visit them.

Questions about this policy or the handling of signup information can also be sent to contact@truecrimefactor.com.
