Deadliest Mass Shooting in Modern U.S. History Leaves 50-Plus Dead, Hundreds Wounded

More than 50 people are dead and hundreds more injured following a mass shooting during a concert by country music singer Jason Aldean last night in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The gunman, who has been identified as 64-year-old Stephen Paddock, fired hundreds of bullets into the Las Vegas Strip crowd from his room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel before taking his own life. Police later discovered a hoard of weapons in the room, including 10 rifles.

The rampage is the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history.
