CBSNews.com reports that Jeffrey Willis was charged with kidnapping and murder yesterday in the disappearance of 25-year-old Jessica Heeringa, a Michigan mother who vanished in 2013 from the gas station where she worked in Norton Shores.
Despite Heeringa’s story garnering nationwide attention, her body has yet to be found. Investigators remained stymied by the case until Willis was arrested in May in a different case.
In addition to the charges stemming from Heeringa’s disappearance, Willis also faces charges in the 2014 death of a female jogger and the attempted abduction of a teenage girl earlier this year.
