Yahoo! News reports that 40-year-old Shawn Grate was arrested on Tuesday in Ashland, Ohio after a woman telephoned 911 to report that she had been abducted.
The female victim made the call while her captor slept in the same room. She managed to partially free herself and telephone emergency services.
Responding officers found Grate and the woman at a home that was supposed to be unoccupied. Investigators also discovered the remains of two other people – including Stacey Stanley of Greenwich, who had been missing since September 8.
Grate also led police to a third victim’s remains at a property in neighboring Richland County.
Grate is currently jailed on an abduction charge with a decision on additional charges expected to come today.
