CBSNews.com reports that 57-year-old William Reece, who is already charged with the abduction and murder of an Oklahoma woman, has been indicted in the 1997 killings of Texas girls Laura Smither, 12, and Jessica Cain, 17.
Reece was already serving a 60-year prison sentence for kidnapping earlier this year when he led authorities to the graves of Cain and Kelli Cox, a 20-year-old female who went missing in 1997. He is also charged with first-degree murder and kidnapping in the aforementioned death of 19-year-old Tiffany Johnson that same year.
Galveston County District Attorney Jack Roady said Reece would not be tried for the Cain and Smither murders until the Oklahoma case was resolved.
