KPHO reports that Arizona authorities have linked a non-fatal shooting on July 11 to a Phoenix serial killer whom they believe is responsible for killing seven people and wounding two others in gunfire attacks since March 17.
The latest attack occurred when someone fired on a vehicle occupied by a 21-year-old man and a 4-year-old boy. Neither were injured.
Investigators have not established a motive for the shootings and declined to reveal the evidence they say connects the cases.
Police believe the attacks were perpetrated by a lanky man in his early-20s, but have not ruled out the possibility of another participant. The suspect is believed to have used a number of vehicles, including a black 5 Series BMW Sedan.
A $50,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
