New Developments in San Diego Homeless Attacks (Updated)

san_diego_logoFOX 5 reports that police have detained a new suspect in the recent series of attacks on San Diego’s homeless community that left three men dead and another seriously wounded.

The suspect, whose name has not been released, was detained after two more homeless men were assaulted about 30 minutes apart early this morning in downtown San Diego and Golden Hill.

San Diego Police Captain David Nisleit said there is no doubt in his mind the latest assaults are connected to the previous attacks.

36-year-old Anthony Padgett was initially jailed for the attacks, but later freed after evidence surfaced which cast doubt on his guilt.
