CBS News 8 reports that a 36-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murders of two homeless men as well as wounding two other destitute individuals in San Diego over a four-day period this week.
Anthony Padgett is suspected in the four crimes where two of the victims were set ablaze. He is currently in San Diego Central Jail on suspicion of two counts of murder, two counts of attempted murder and one count of arson.
Authorities have declined to offer a suspected motive for the attacks.
Padgett proclaimed his innocence to reporters from the back of a police car.
