A man accused of murdering an 11-year-old Houston boy walking home from school last month appeared before a judge today, reports KHOU.
Andre Jackson Jr., who is accused in the May 17 slaying of Josue Flores, did not speak at the hearing where prosecutors told the judge the child was stabbed at least 20 times.
Jackson, a Marine Corps veteran who was arrested on Friday, reportedly admitted to being the man seen on a surveillance video tying him to the murder and also told police he was at the crime scene. He will remain in jail on $100,000 bond.
Police have said there is no known motive for the killing and no known connection between Jackson and Flores.
