CBSNews.com reports that an Indiana man who confessed to murdering seven women was officially charged yesterday in five of the killings and now faces the death penalty in each case.
44-year-old Darren Vann was previously charged with murder in connection with the deaths of two other females. He has pleaded not guilty to those slayings.
Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty in all seven cases.
Vann was arrested in October 2014, one day after 19-year-old Afrikka Hardy was found strangled to death inside a motel room. The other six bodies were discovered in buildings across Gary.
