Four Dead, Others Wounded in Saskatchewan School Shooting

la_roche_logoA school shooting in La Loche, Saskatchewan yesterday has left four people dead and several others wounded, according to a number of news reports.

The alleged shooter approached La Loche Community School Friday afternoon before opening fire both outside and inside the building. Among the victims were Marie Janvier, a 23-year-old teacher, and two relatives of the male suspect, who was apprehended at 1:47 p.m. CST.

Authorities are also investigating a shooting incident at a residence on the 300 block of Dene Crescent in La Loche, which they believe may be related to the school murders.
