Sixteen-year-old Alexandria Joy Lowitzer – known as “Ali” to her family and friends – disappeared on Monday, April 26, 2010 minutes after exiting her school bus in Spring, Texas. She was last seen walking in the direction of her place of employment at Cypresswood Drive and Treaschwig Road.
For five-and-half years, Ali’s loved ones have continued an undying search for the young woman, who would now be 21 years old. The Ali Lowitzer case has been featured prominently by the Texas news media, and her vanishing was profiled during a 2011 episode of Nancy Grace. Investigation Discovery also devoted an entire broadcast to the case on its Last Seen Alive program, which aired in June 2014.
Ali’s mother, Jo Ann Lowitzer, kindly spoke with me on the evening of November 22 to discuss her daughter’s disappearance and the continued search for Ali.
