ISIS Militant Group Claims Responsibility for Paris Attacks, Arrests Made in Belgium

france_flagCNN reports that Islamic State militant group ISIS has claimed responsibility for yesterday’s terrorist attacks in Paris, which left over 120 people dead and hundreds more injured.

The attacks have been called the worst violence witnessed in France since World War II. French President Francois referred to the carnage as “an act of war.”

CNN is also reporting that a number of arrests have been made in Belgium via police raids in connection to the attacks. A justice ministry spokeswoman told the station that a car rented in Brussels was discovered near one of the attack sites in Paris and “that’s what triggered the raids.”
