CBS News yesterday reported that Donnie Cochenour Jr. has been charged with murder in connection to the death of a 31-year-old female (later identified as Rebecca Cade) who was found deceased and dangling by her sleeve from a chain-link fence Tuesday morning in Chillicothe, Ohio.
Prosecutors say Cochenour admitted to assaulting Cade and that police found blood and mud on the suspect’s clothing in addition to recovering what they believe to be the murder weapon. Tips reportedly led to an arrest within hours of the crime.
Cochenour’s bail has been set at two million dollars.
Chillicothe has been the base of a series of strange murders and disappearances since May 2014. Four women have been found dead near the town and two others remain missing. Police say there is no evidence to suggest that Cade’s slaying is connected to these cases, but are not ruling out the possibility.
